Commissioner Ha Jae-joo is a leading expert in the nuclear field, holding a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering from Seoul National University and Master's and Doctoral degrees from Ohio State University. He has contributed to the development of domestic and international nuclear policies and technology while serving as the President of the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI), President of the Korean Nuclear Society, and Director of Nuclear Development at the OECD/NEA. He played a pivotal role in the global expansion and commercialization of South Korean nuclear technology, including the export of a research reactor to Jordan and the acquisition of design licenses for SMART.
