After passing the 21st Civil Service Examination, Advisor Lee Ki-seop served in key positions across industrial, energy, trade, and information and communication policy sectors at major government ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Information and Communication, the Prime Minister's Office, and the Presidential Secretariat.
He accumulated extensive experience in national industrial policy, regulation, and overall trade and technology policy while serving as the Director General of the General Affairs Division and Team Leader of the Electric Power Industry Structure Reform Team at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Commercial Attaché at the Korean Embassy in Germany, Director General of the Living Industry Bureau, and Planning Officer for Balanced Regional Industrial Development. He also served as the Director General of the Radio and Broadcasting Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Information and Communication and as a Standing Commissioner of the Trade Commission.
Furthermore, he led the development of R&D and evaluation in the fields of energy, automobiles, and industrial technology while serving as the Chairman of the Korea Energy Agency, President of the Korea Automotive Parts Research Institute, and President of the Korea Institute for Industrial Technology Evaluation and Management. He has also been recognized for his expertise spanning industry, academia, and the policy field through his activities as a visiting professor at Seoul National University of Science and Technology, President of the Korea Institute of Control, Robotics and Systems, and Senior Advisor at the Global Legislative Policy Institute. Currently serving as an advisor in the energy industry and corporate consulting sector at Sanwoo Law Firm (LLC), I provide practical and strategic advice on corporate regulatory compliance, energy and industrial policy consulting, and the resolution of current issues in the technology and industrial fields, based on my extensive public service experience and expertise in industrial policy.
