Attorney Kim Sun-heum passed the 2nd Higher Civil Service Examination for Court Administration and served as a court clerk. Subsequently, he passed the 23rd Judicial Examination and graduated at the top of his class from the 13th Judicial Research and Training Institute. Since then, he has served as a judge at various courts, including the Seoul Civil District Court, the Seoul District Court Southern Branch, the Cheongju District Court Jecheon Branch, the Seoul Family Court, the Seoul District Court Northern Branch, the Seoul Central District Court, and the Seoul High Court, handling a wide range of civil, criminal, and family cases.
He served as the Chief Judge of the Gongju and Hongseong Branches of the Daejeon District Court and also served as the Chairman of the Election Commissions for Gongju City and Hongseong County, accumulating extensive experience in judicial administration and the public sector. Furthermore, having served as a Specialized Presiding Judge at the Seoul Family Court and as a Presiding Judge of the Criminal and Civil Divisions at the Seoul Central District Court, he has been recognized for his in-depth expertise in trial practice and case judgment.
Through training at Waseda University in Japan, I broadened my understanding of overseas judicial systems. After retirement, I worked as an attorney at Kim Sun-heum Law Office, Joongchu Law Firm, and Kookwon Law Firm, providing professional legal assistance to clients based on my extensive experience as a judge.
Currently, as an attorney at Sanwoo Law Firm (Limited Liability), I provide practical and strategic legal services and accurate case analysis across various legal fields, including civil, criminal, family, and election-related cases, drawing on my long career as a judge and practical trial experience.
